Summary of the WorldHotel 2010
Over 3,000 people visited the “WorldHotel 2010” 3rd International Hotel Facilities Equipment Trade Fair, which was held from 29 September to 1 October in the MT Polska Centre in Warsaw. 117 exhibitors from Poland and abroad presented their offer of products and services in five thematic categories: interior equipment and design, textiles and hotel accessories, housekeeping, IT solutions, and recreational, spa & wellness infrastructure. The fair was accompanied by an extensive programme of conferences, seminars and training sessions conducted by industry experts. Minister of the Economy Waldemar Pawlak was the honorary patron of the WorldHotel 2010 fair.
A large number of visitors were people who are closely connected with the hotel industry. They included hotel owners, managers and investors, as well as interior designers.
According to the organisers: This year’s WordHotel was a great success and met with considerable interest and wide recognition on the part of hotel industry representatives. Once again, Warsaw hosted an event strictly for the industry, exclusively gathering together people connected with the hotel accommodation market. Visitors had the opportunity to acquaint themselves with new market trends and novelties and to discuss topics concerning the industry. The absence of random visitors made it easier to hold business talks. Many people and firms forged new business contacts, and it was also possible to make favourable purchases. This year’s fair attracted a greater number of private stands than in the past, which were professionally prepared and attracted people to acquaint themselves with the offers on display. One strong point of the WorldHotel fair was the extensive programme of side-events. Many conferences enjoyed a high level of interest and were besieged by crowds of people from the hotel industry.
A varied offer
During the fair, exhibitors presented a variety of domestic and foreign products and services for accommodation facilities. Among the novelties in hotel and interior design at WorldHotel were non-standard offers of exotic and oriental furniture, furniture and developments for public use buildings, LED tabletops with innovative rims making it possible to have the edges change colours, the latest collections of carpet tiles, and also top-quality textile printed carpet flooring and a wide selection of room-darkening and flameproof curtains, sheers and upholstery materials. In the textiles and hotel accessories section, visitors could familiarise themselves with a wide choice of luxury sheeting and tableware, high-quality towels for hotels and spas, anti-bacterial mattresses, high-quality cosmetics and hotel accessories, as well as saunas and heat cabins. There were also innovative products among the housekeeping offers. And in the recreation sector, people could find out about bowling alleys on offer for hotels. IT solutions for the industry were also presented at WorldHotel.
Priceless knowledge
The programme included numerous training sessions, seminars and workshops devoted to legal, financial, organisational and promotional issues, presented in cooperation with the most important associations and institutions in the industry. Experts took pains to ensure that the meetings were at a high level. Confirmation of this could be seen in the fact that the conference rooms were packed. Lecture topics were geared towards each group of visitors to the fair.
Awards distributed
At the fair, the Minister of the Economy’s competition for the most enterprising firm, exporter and innovator at the “WorldHotel 2010” 3rd International Hotel Facilities Equipment Trade Fair was decided.
